Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group face a familiar dilemma. As the reigning Premier League champions continue to suffer an alarming decline, and fan discontent rises, FSG must decide what to do about head coach Arne Slot. Slot has lost the faith of many supporters, with former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy telling BBC Sport it is a conundrum he feels will end with the Dutchman's departure within months. The owners have been here before. It was in 2015 that Brendan Rodgers - without the credit in the bank Slot accumulated with last season's title triumph - suffered the same fate among Liverpool's fanbase as they ended the season with a humiliating 6-1 loss at Stoke City to finish sixth, 25 points behind champions Chelsea. Southampton have asked for more time as they conduct an internal review into what exactly happened last Thursday. Normally they would have 14 days to respond to the charges, but the EFL has asked the independent disciplinary commission for "a hearing at the earliest opportunity". A spokesperson said late on Tuesday that the commission is going through the due legal process so no timescales can be confirmed yet. Various sanctions could result for Southampton - a fine, a points deduction or even expulsion from the play-offs. That drama has played out against events on the pitch. It meant the post-match celebrations on Tuesday were more muted than might usually have been expected for such a significant win. There was no mass pitch invasion at the final whistle, while home fans did not linger. Southampton should be starting preparations for the richest game in English football in 10 days' time, but there remains a nagging doubt. There was a little moment during my first match on Railway to Golmud, the new map arriving in Battlefield 6 this week, where it became clear how important this update will be for last year's best-selling FPS. I spawned in the hilltop village of Golmud and climbed a watchtower to get a view of the whole map. Slowly I panned around the distant chaos and took note of what I saw: an attack chopper hurling hellfire down on a moving train, a squad of engineers advancing on a tank, some dude doing a backflip with a dirtbike. The moment was big, and it rocked. But the surprising part was how peaceful my little corner of Golmud was. I was relatively safe in my sniper nest, temporarily disengaged from contested hot zones. Literally nobody in this lobby of 64 players was around, and for that moment, Battlefield 6 was pretty chill. That is what I've been missing. Railway to Golmud is a remake of a Battlefield 4 map. It's an interesting target for Battlefield 6's first truly huge space, because the original Golmud, while well-remembered, was brutal for on-foot players. Diablo 4 has had its fair share of bugs that players have gleefully exploited. If it's not some item that gives you the power to deal infinite damage, it's a dungeon dropping too much loot. Diablo is a complicated videogame; unforeseen interactions are kind of inevitable. But that's not how I'd describe the latest thing players are exploiting in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred. There's an item with a number so big that I cannot imagine anyone at Blizzard would've thought it was OK to do on purpose. Someone must've forgotten a decimal point because it's the sole reason players are currently making billions more gold than is normally possible. A new Lord of Hatred Horadric seal item says you will earn 900% more gold when you equip it. Not 9% or 90%. It says 900% and it means it. No other item has a number that big, which is why many players think it's a mistake. The amount of gold that drops scales way up as you climb into the highest difficulty levels already, but with this item, you don't really need to worry about it again. Back in February some amazing footage emerged of path tracing implementation in Dark Souls 2. At the time I was pretty impressed, but I didn't have my fingers crossed that the ambitious mod—which is an update to the beloved DS2Lighting Engine Mod—would be available to the public anytime soon. I was wrong: the DS2LightingEngine mod on Nexus Mods was updated today with path tracing implemented. It's compatible with the Scholar of the First Sin version of Dark Souls 2.The mod actually released on Discord late last month but is now more widely available on Nexus for people who might not be actively following its development. It's a beta, so you should expect some hiccups here and there, but it's an impressive feat and it brings the often scrappy-looking RPG to life. Se pare că Google Chrome descarcă un model de IA de 4 GB pe PC-urile utilizatorilor fără consimțământul acestora și fără informări prealabile. Portsmouth midfielder Andre Dozzell will leave the club when his contract expires this summer and has agreed to sign for MLS side DC United. Pompey say that the 27-year-old has rejected a new agreement and will join the Washington-based team. During his time at Fratton Park, Dozzell has made 80 appearances after signing in 2024 from QPR. He was a key member of Portsmouth's midfield across the 2025-26 campaign, making 39 appearances and scoring twice - a crucial late equaliser against Oxford United in April and the winner against Preston North End in August. "This is a special club, with special supporters, staff and players – all of whom have made my time at Pompey unforgettable," Dozzell told the club website., external "I think that staying in the Championship has been a real achievement and hopefully now is the time for the club to really push on. York City have signed Barnet midfielder Mark Shelton. The 29-year-old will join the National League champions on 1 July after his contract with the Bees expires. Shelton scored eight goals in 43 appearances for Barnet this season as they finished eighth in League Two. He is York's first signing since they secured promotion back to the EFL after 10 years away.
