După aproape un deceniu în care TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) a fost furnizorul exclusiv al cipurilor proiectate de Apple, această relație dominantă ar putea intra într-o nouă etapă. Potrivit analistului Ming-Chi Kuo, unul dintre cei mai cunoscuți observatori ai lanțului de aprovizionare Apple, Intel a început deja teste la scară redusă pentru fabricarea unor cipuri destinate unor modele entry-level de iPhone, iPad și Mac. România ocupă o poziție codașă în clasamentul global al digitalizării, prăbușindu-se pe locul 72 în topul indicelui EGDI (E-Government Development Index), realizat de ONU. Țara noastră se situează astfel sub state precum Uzbekistan, Kazahstan, Georgia, Ucraina sau Republica Moldova, transmite Euronews. Overwatch players expected a lot more for its 10th anniversary in-game event. For many, grinding for loot boxes that contain old skins with new colorways and some sprays didn't feel worthy of such a significant milestone, not to mention the huge amount of games you have to play to earn them in the first place. In a game with a massive catalog of cosmetics—many of which were only available for a limited time—players had hoped there would be a way to earn them through the anniversary event. It was a reasonable expectation to have considering Overwatch 1 used to offer anniversary loot boxes that contained almost everything that has ever existed in the game. And it didn't help that the Chinese version of the event seems to shower players with rewards, some of which aren't even available for everyone else, like skins from old seasonal battle passes. The disappointment players expressed on social media was strong enough to prompt a response from game director Aaron Keller on X. The character system used in Fallout is famously based upon its roleplaying system called SPECIAL. But this wasn't always the case. In fact, for most of the original game's development, Fallout's mechanics were based upon a licensed, table-top roleplaying system called GURPS, which, yes, sounds more like a digestive tract disorder than a TTRPG ruleset. Anyway, the Generic Universal Roleplaying System was at the heart of Fallout from its conception in 1994 all the way to early 1997, when GURPS' creator Steve Jackson (not that Steve Jackson, this Steve Jackson) objected to Black Isle's use of the system because of Fallout's stupefying levels of violence. Hence, GURPS was usurped by SPECIAL, and history took a different course. Despite being at the centre of Fallout for three years, little about Fallout's GURPS incarnation has been revealed in the last 30 years. Until now, that is. Out with the old, in with the new—Forza Horizon 6 has hit the scene, but a different open world online racer is getting scrubbed from digital storefronts just three years after its initial release. Lego 2K Drive, an open-world kart racer where you can build your own vehicles, announced on its Steam page (via IGN) that the game will no longer be available for purchase starting May 19. If you already own the game or snag it before its exit, you can still use its multiplayer features until May 31 of next year. "After that time, all game functions requiring online servers will no longer function," the update reads. Given that a major feature of the game is sharing your custom Lego creations with other players, it seems like this coming year is your chance to experience the game as intended. That's if you're so inclined, anyway. PC Gamer's Lewis Parker wasn't exactly head over heels for the game in his 59% review, where he called it "a solid kart racer" blemished by "greedy microtransactions." Indeed, a $50 digital currency bundle in a racing game aimed at children isn't a great look—though I'll admit the in-game kart creator using real-life Lego brick specifications is a nice touch. Magic's mini-sets called Secret Lairs, which are usually short-run reprints of old cards with new art aimed at collectors, have really been leaning into the joke over the last couple of years. The cards starring Dwight from The Office were a perfect example, and the upcoming Secret Lair called Cats are the Best seems like another, including as it does 15 Garfield cards to slide into your Commander decks to the bafflement of your friends. The cards come in three "drops" of five, with the first based on the question: What if some of the original Magic: The Gathering cards created by Richard Garfield were reinterpreted with panels from the other famous Garfield instead? And so classics like Swords to Plowshares and Counterspell are no accompanied by panels where Garfield pushes Odie off a table or slaps Jon in the face.
