  1. Smash hit open-ended RPG and pillar of K-content Crimson Desert has been compared to a singleplayer MMO by both fans and detractors, but perhaps the most MMOish thing about it is how players are frequently returning to find an unrecognizable game. The onslaught of feedback-driven updates continues in a patch released today which boasts two new features: rematch and re-blockade. Rematching lets you fight bosses you've already beaten "to test your progress and experiment with different tactics," the patch notes explain. Just go to where you fought the boss, light your lantern, and begin the fight one of two ways: with your foe balanced as they were when you first took them on, or with their numbers pumped up to match your current gear. You can't get new loot from these fights, but you can use any character for them and you'll get back any consumables used. Following a similar thread, re-blockades allow factions to retake liberated areas, though this should happen more organically. You can set re-blockades to happen frequently, every once in a blue moon (the default option), or not at all if you'd rather enemy factions stay down. The system impacts 13 different factions and 23 areas, but the patch notes clarify this will be expanded and "improved" with upcoming patches. 4. Microsoft anunță o creștere semnificativă a utilizării principalelor sale produse.
8. An earlier version of this article was published on 4 April. Hardly anyone was talking about Charlton Athletic being title contenders before the Women's Super League 2 season. So it is no surprise manager Karen Hills feels it would be "one of the greatest achievements of her career" if they were to gain promotion. With one game remaining, her side sit at the top of the WSL 2 with 42 points, one point ahead of title rivals Birmingham City and Crystal Palace. Charlton face Birmingham in a massive game on Saturday, 2 May at 15:00 BST, with Crystal Palace taking on relegated Portsmouth at the same time. As the WSL expands from 12 to 14 teams next season, the top two in WSL 2 will automatically secure promotion to the WSL, while the team finishing third will face bottom-of-the-table WSL side Leicester in a play-off on Saturday, 23 May. Charlton have led the way for the majority of the campaign, but their form has dipped significantly with three defeats in their past four matches. With one of the lowest budgets in the league, competing against big spenders Newcastle United and Birmingham, as well as Crystal Palace, it has already been a remarkable campaign for the Addicks. "If you'd have told me in pre-season this is where we would be at this point, I'd have bitten your hand off," Hills told BBC Sport. "These players deserve to be where they are. The amount of work that they've put in, the way that they've played and the way that they've executed everything we've asked of them, they deserve all the accolades and the achievements. "If we were to be promoted then I believe it's probably one of the greatest achievements in my career. "Just in terms of where the league is at this moment, what other teams have spent and the calibre of players. I think it would be an unbelievable achievement." 9. Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been ordered to pay more than £1,100 by a court after he was convicted of failing to tax his McLaren supercar. The 25-year-old Premier League star was prosecuted by the DVLA over the unpaid bill on his McLaren 765LT. Court papers showed Hudson-Odoi became the registered keeper of the luxury vehicle in February 2024, and the annual tax expired at the end of January 2025. The DVLA said the McLaren was still untaxed nine months later when it was spotted on Southmill Street in Manchester at 08:50 GMT on 29 October. Hudson-Odoi was given the chance by the DVLA to settle the matter out of court, the agency said, but he did not respond to the offer. The footballer then faced a criminal prosecution for an offence of keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence. Hudson-Odoi did not enter a plea, and was convicted at York Magistrates' Court on 20 April in a fast-track hearing, conducted in private under the Single Justice Procedure. Magistrate Karen Shackleton ordered the footballer to pay a £660 fine, £410 in back tax and £85 in costs. Link: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp3pnzelqgdo
  10. Phil Parkinson says Wrexham will return stronger in the 2026-27 season after narrowly missing out on a place in the Championship play-offs. Their 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough, combined with Hull City's 2-1 victory over Norwich City, ensured the Red Dragons ended the campaign - their first in the second tier in 43 years - seventh in the table. Despite missing out on a top-six spot, Wrexham secured their highest-ever league finish. They were also the best-performing Welsh side in the English Football League for the first time in 25 years. "In terms of what the lads have given us as a group, I don't think we could have had much more," Parkinson said. "I think this squad together, as it stands, with a pre-season together will be even stronger next year. "Of course we'll always look to try and add to that to give ourselves an even better chance, but we'll have a break now and we'll come back and go again." 11. Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich are competing in "different worlds" to Premier League teams, says Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. And the Spaniard believes the difference in attacking quality on show in the first two legs of the Champions League semi-finals is down to the 'freshness' of the players. Ligue 1's leading side PSG edged out the German champions 5-4 in a thrilling tie at the Parc des Princes in Paris, while the Gunners ground out a 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid. Arteta says PSG and Bayern's star players were able to be fresher than the Gunners' tired attacking talent, which he believes is down to differing levels of competition they experience in their domestic leagues. "To deliver that much quality you have to be very fresh, and the difference in the leagues and the way they are competing is night and day," said the Arsenal boss. "You just have to see a lot of stats around it. We are comparing two different worlds." Link: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c1w2j53p2r3o
  12. Manchester United boss Marc Skinner accepts he is accountable for the club's disappointing end to the season. It took an injury-time goal from Lea Schuller to prevent United being beaten by Brighton at Leigh Sports Village. Nevertheless, the 1-1 draw meant United have won just one game in nine, dating back to the Champions League play-off success against Atletico Madrid in February. They have taken six points from their last five Women's Super League games and stand in fourth place, one point behind third-placed Arsenal. The Gunners now need just three points from their last four games to close the door on a return to Europe for United, who finish their league campaign at Chelsea on 16 May. United were also beaten by Chelsea in the League Cup final and the FA Cup and, after losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, a season that promised so much is petering out. Skinner said he heard the smattering of boos from fans at the end of both halves and added: "I hear it, I feel it. "I'm at the head of the football club. I'm accountable, right? I'm there for people to give their opinion. "I work tirelessly hard to push this football club. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I will never deny that but there's no-one more disappointed than me today for not taking three points." In the build-up to the game, Skinner said he expected to be in charge next season. He still has a year left on his contract, although a number of supporters feel a change is required. There has been some sympathy for Skinner as the funding he has received is much less than the three teams destined to finish above United this season. However, the challenge is not just above but below. London City Lionesses are continuing to spend to strengthen their squad, while Brighton, who have reached the FA Cup semi-finals and beaten both Arsenal and Manchester City last month, have unveiled ambitious plans for a 10,000-capacity stadium for their women's team. "We see the investment around us, we see the strategy around us," added Skinner. "No longer can we just look at them teams above us, we have to be able to be aware of those teams below. "I know everybody wants to jump on the negative but there's also amazing growth from this team too. "We have to do some reflection, of course we do. "The reality is we have to assess over the summer where the resource goes and which direction we push that in, to make sure we stay in that chasing pack and obviously make sure the teams behind us can't catch us." 13. With the launch of Season 3 Reloaded this week, Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software has removed one of the game's newest and most popular modes, Black Ops Royale. Inspired by Black Ops 4's Blackout, which was the first time Call of Duty ever attempted a Battle Royale mode, Black Ops Royale was added to Warzone on March 12, but has now been removed from the game less than two months later. Prior to the release of Warzone back in 2020, Treyarch Studios took a pop at the Battle Royale genre with a Black Ops 4 exclusive mode known as Blackout. Unlike the traditional Call of Duty Battle Royale experience fans know today, Blackout had no gulag, no loadouts, no buy stations, and required manual healing. Support for the mode ended once Warzone came around a few years later, as the free-to-play title quickly became a fan-favorite. While Blackout was closer to a more traditional Battle Royale experience, Warzone took things to another level with some unique and defining features, but not everyone was a fan. 14. Capcom has just teased the release date for its upcoming game, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. First announced at The Game Awards in 2024, Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the first mainline entry in Capcom’s samurai-based action franchise since 2006’s Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. Since that game’s release 20 years ago, Capcom has only kept Onimusha fresh in gamers' minds through a pair of remasters of the franchise’s first two entries, along with a virtual reality game, Onimusha VR: Shadow Team, in 2025. Even though it appears to be a major evolution of the Resident Evil-inspired gameplay of the original releases, Onimusha: Way of the Sword should stand out among Soulslike and samurai titles that gamers have received plenty of in the past few years. Capcom is looking to distance the game from the modern wave of Soulslikes on the market by focusing less on difficulty while continuing to emphasize exciting sword fights and dark action-horror thrills. This new Onimusha game looks to bring the once-dormant franchise back to its former glory, while continuing the scorching-hot streak Capcom has been on in 2026. 15. Blizzard has released a small hotfix update for Diablo 4, which resolves one of the most annoying problems introduced in the new Lord of Hatred expansion. While Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is still brand-new, Blizzard has been quick to address some of the problems players have been experiencing with the expansion. Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is the long-awaited conclusion to the Age of Hatred arc, which has been running since the game's initial release in 2023. Reviews for the new Diablo 4 expansion have been broadly positive, with the two new classes, the Paladin and Warlock, coming in for particular praise. It has been over a year and a half since the last Diablo 4 expansion, so Blizzard has made players wait a decent chunk of time with only seasonal content in between. Luckily, it seems the developer has stuck the landing with the expansion. Link: https://gamerant.com/diablo-4-dlc-pit-tower-run-exit-portal/
  16. Battlestate Games has released a new Escape From Tarkov event that takes place on Factory, the game's smallest map. Until May 4, Escape From Tarkov players can challenge Killa and Tagilla in the new Arena Cleanup Crew event on Factory. Escape From Tarkov regularly holds in-game events that offer a change of pace from the regular gameplay. These events are typically more difficult than usual, featuring mechanics adjusted to offer players a fresh challenge. Sometimes, Battlestate Games uses events as a way to test out items and features before they become part of the main game. The developer does not have a consistent schedule for Escape From Tarkov events, but it's rare for the game to go more than two consecutive months without one.
