"We don't care about Clearlake, they don't care about us." Amid growing anger from Chelsea's fans towards the club's BlueCo ownership, that chant has become the anthem of this campaign. Monday's dismal 3-1 defeat by second-string Nottingham Forest in the Premier League means the Blues can no longer finish fifth - and are highly unlikely to meet their minimum pre‑season aim of qualifying for the Champions League. It appears the moment of reckoning has arrived for BlueCo, who are now the target of an increasingly irate fanbase. While the Clearlake chant only targets one arm of the ownership, it is part of a wider disconnect between supporters and the club, amid the search for a sixth permanent manager in four years after Liam Rosenior was sacked last month. There is also a perceived lack of effort from players and dissatisfaction with ticketing policies. Chelsea's most recent accounts showed a £262m Premier League-record pre-tax loss and Uefa continues to monitor the club under a settlement agreement from last summer that will regulate spending on players. It is against that backdrop that BlueCo - the holding company owned by Todd Boehly and his allies, along with majority investor Clearlake - are on trial with supporters. At the thick end is Not A Project CFC, a fringe but growing fan movement who are calling for major change - and have announced two further protests. One will take place on Wembley Way before the FA Cup final against Manchester City, and the other urges fans to turn their backs in the 22nd minute (representing the year 2022 when BlueCo bought Chelsea from sanctioned Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich) of their final home game against Tottenham. It is a movement figures inside Chelsea have tried to quell, including director Danny Finkelstein, after a conversation with supporters was leaked in which he said it was "obvious" the Blues were building one of the best teams in the world. While the picture may seem bleak for Chelsea, who are ninth in the league with just three matches left, with a cup final to come is the situation still salvageable for BlueCo? Iran's football chief says their World Cup host "is Fifa, not Mr Trump or America" and has called for respect towards the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) if the national team is to travel to the United States for this summer's tournament. There remains uncertainty over Iran's participation at the World Cup because of the war with the US and Israel. Iranian FA (FFIRI) chief Mehdi Taj was among a delegation which turned back from the Canadian border before last week's Fifa Congress in Vancouver, because of what they felt was disrespectful treatment by immigration officials. Taj said the decision to return home was their own choice, but Canada's immigration minister confirmed to parliament that the FFIRI president's visa had been cancelled while he was in the air because of his links to the IRGC. The IRGC was set up to defend Iran's Islamic system and has become a major military, political and economic force in the country. However, the group is listed as a terrorist organisation in Canada and the US. Fifa secretary general Mattias Grafstrom wrote to express regret for the "inconvenience and disappointment" and has invited FFIRI to Zurich for a meeting about their World Cup preparations on 20 May. When Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz are bearing down on goal, there is usually only one outcome. Just ask Atalanta, Real Madrid, Paris St-Germain, and practically any team in Germany, and they will testify to the quality of Europe's most feared front line. Since linking up for the first time in August, Kane, Diaz and Olise have scored more than 100 times across all competitions for Bayern. They are only the fifth trio to reach a ton since the turn of the century. It is one of the main reasons why the German champions are looking to add the DFB Pokal (German Cup) and Champions League to the Bundesliga title they won last month. But where do they rank among the great three-man forward lines of recent times? Ahead of Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris St-Germain - with the German side trailing 5-4 after a remarkable first leg - BBC Sport takes a closer look at the numbers. It might seem odd to suggest an English club reaching a Champions League final have been in danger of going under the radar - but that has almost been the case for Arsenal this year. Such has been the immense pressure piled upon Mikel Arteta's side to end a 22-year wait for a Premier League title, their remarkable unbeaten run to the European showpiece in Budapest has arguably not got the credit it deserves. Bukayo Saka's first-half tap-in gave the Gunners a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in Tuesday's semi-final second leg, securing a 2-1 aggregate victory. In truth, while their display at Emirates Stadium was not necessarily vintage, some of Arsenal's best performances of the season have come in Europe. The Gunners remain the only unbeaten team left in the Champions League, defeating teams like Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Sporting along the way. There has been a desperation to win the league - which, indeed, they could well go on to do as well given Manchester City's draw at Everton 24 hours before this semi-final. But there has been a quiet ruthlessness in Arsenal's European games - rarely troubled, rarely in danger of going out. "I don't think you can underestimate what we have done in this competition up to this point," midfielder Declan Rice told Amazon Prime. "We have every right to celebrate that moment. The most prestigious competition in club football. We are just trying to soak it all in. "We knew coming into the game what was at stake. If you can't get up for that, then you can't get up for any game of football. "When we went 1-0 up, I knew we were going to win. I could feel something special building." The Arsenal supporters welcomed the team bus with flares and chants - the first time that has happened at the stadium - setting the tone and atmosphere for what Arteta described as "an incredible night". "We made history again together," said Arteta. "I cannot be happier, prouder for everybody that's involved in this football club. The manner that we [were] received outside the stadium was special and unique. "The atmosphere, our support has created the energy, the way they managed every ball with us... I never felt that in the stadium [before]. "We knew how much it meant to everybody... the boys did an incredible job and after 20 years and a second time in our history, we are back in the Champions League final." Like a perfectly balanced recipe or a well-oiled machine, a videogame needs a handful of vital components to really come to life. You've got graphics, mechanics, narrative, all that good stuff. But perhaps one of the most underappreciated aspects that really helps tie a game together is its music. Good videogame music pulls you straight into the world and creates some real powerful memories that attach themselves to the scores you hear as you play. Everyone has that one track that brings back floods of nostalgia or giddy stomach butterflies whenever they hear it—maybe it's the delicate piano of Aerith's Theme from Final Fantasy 7, the roaring of the choir during Skyrim's title song, or the heart-pounding melodies of Mass Effect 2's Suicide Mission. Marvel's profitable relationship with Capcom began with arcade beat 'em up The Punisher in 1993, but quickly switched to fighting games with X-Men: Children of the Atom in 1994. The X-Men were mega popular at the time, so it made perfect sense. One problem, however, was that Marvel was more protective of its characters in the '90s. "I remember it was pretty challenging," Takuya "Tom" Shiraiwa, a former localization lead at Capcom, recently told Time Extension, "because they had very, very specific rules about their characters, like their behaviours and their personalities, right?" The first round of conversation was always about which characters would be allowed. Just because Spider-Man appeared in some X-Men comics doesn't mean you can have him in your X-Men game, for instance. It didn't stop once the full cast of characters was decided on, though. Mortal Kombat 1's post-launch support may have petered out quickly despite relatively strong sales, but spare a thought for Injustice fans: It's been almost a decade since they've had a new game to chew on. It may be time to dust off the ol' batarangs, though, as a new report suggests Injustice 3 is developer NetherRealm Studios's next game. An article from MP1st published Wednesday alleges that a Warner Bros. Games employee's resume contained Injustice 3 as a game they had worked on. It points out that corroborative rumors about the game have swirled for over a year now, such as one instance where Aquaman and Superman's voice actors reportedly told fans that Injustice 3 was in development. It would honestly be more surprising if NetherRealm delivered three Mortal Kombat games in a row or something new altogether, as the developer has swapped between the two series consistently since Injustice: Gods Among Us first debuted in 2013. They have even borrowed mechanics and characters from one another—The Joker popped up in MK11, Sub-Zero could go up against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2, and environmental object attacks were carried over into MKX from the original Injustice. Riot Games is constantly tweaking how Valorant ranks work in its competitive mode. One minute Immortal is divided into three tiers, and the next it's not, and oh look, it's back again. It's a complicated system with a lot of moving parts on top of what's already a stressful time. I'll break down how Valorant's ranking system works below. I'll also go over the current rank distribution so you know where you stand against the average player—you're most likely doing just fine, don't stress. I love Atlus' JRPGs but most of the time, faced with the prospect of actually playing them, I flake out. I loved Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor ReFantazio, and Persona 5 is a modern classic for good reason, but in my opinion none can hold a candle to Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance. Why? Because the latter is a no-bullshit turn-based creature-collecting JRPG with absolutely unrivalled vibes and the bare minimum of character dialogue. You don't watch it and occasionally press X—you play it. I recommend SMT 5 to everyone, even if they don't care about Atlus games or JRPGs. It was my favourite game of 2024. I played it on desktop but I can imagine it being an absolutely sublime Steam Deck game. There are two campaigns, and while they're admittedly not hugely different, each offers dozens of hours of the best strategic turn-based combat this side of Persona, only you don't need to sit through 100 hours of cutscene and dialogue every game session. The reason I bring it up is because Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance is part of this month's Humble Choice bundle. It usually goes for $60, but right now you can get it for the cost of one month's subscription, which is $15. That's nearly $6 cheaper than its current discounted price on Steam, plus you get seven other games thrown in. A team of North Korean footballers will make a rare visit to South Korea later this month. North Korean side Naegohyang will cross the border to play Suwon in the Asian Women's Champions League semi-final on 20 May. Pyongyang has sent a list of 27 players and 12 staff who will make the visit. South Korea's Unification Ministry has confirmed the trip, which will be the first time athletes from the north have crossed the border since 2018. North Korea sent athletes to South Korea for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics that year, as they formed a unified ice hockey team for the first time. The rare visit comes with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung seeking to improve strained ties with North Korea. Ties have in recent years deteriorated, with North Korea labelling South Korea its "most hostile state" and saying it would no longer seek reunification. The two Koreas are technically still at war since they did not sign a peace treaty when the Korean War ended in 1953. Naegohyang are playing in the Champions League for the first time, having beaten Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam 3-0 in the quarter final. The winner will face Melbourne City or Tokyo Verdy in the final, also to be played in Suwon, on 23 May. Link: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cx216122kv1o

[Fotbal] Manager Marcelino to leave Villarreal
MrEveningtstar @ LCS a postat un topic în Știri despre Sport
Manager Marcelino will leave Villarreal at the end of the season. The 60-year-old has secured Champions League football for a second straight year with Villarreal currently in third place in La Liga. Confirming his imminent departure, the Spanish club said: "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marce, for everything you have given to this club and its fans. "We wish you all the best in your future sporting endeavours." The former Marseille and Sevilla manager began his second spell with Villarreal in 2023 and guided them to a fifth-placed finish last season. Marcelino was reportedly, external only offered a one-year extension to his contract in January. Villarreal were eliminated at the league phase of the Champions League, losing eight of their nine games, but have impressed in the league once more. [Fotbal] Carrick has the Ferguson magic, says Cunha
MrEveningtstar @ LCS a postat un topic în Știri despre Sport
Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha feels interim boss Michael Carrick has the "magic" that can reconnect the club to its trophy-laden Sir Alex Ferguson era. Cunha scored the opening goal at Old Trafford that set United on their way to the 3-2 win over Liverpool that ensured Champions League qualification with three games to spare. It is an achievement few felt United were capable of, even though football director Jason Wilcox said a return to Europe's elite club competition was the aim in the wake of Ruben Amorim's dismissal in January. Carrick has engineered 10 victories in his 14 games in charge, putting him in pole position to be appointed on a full-time basis. The 44-year-old was part of the final great United side under Ferguson, winning five Premier League titles and a Champions League. Cunha feels the connection is crucial. "I sat on the bench with him," said Cunha. "How he teaches everyone is amazing. He has the magic with these Ferguson times. Then he comes and brings it to us, teaches us how it was, to be part of everything. Then he did this. "It's amazing. He's a pleasure. Of course, I think he deserves it." Carrick has already made it clear his squad cannot relax just because they have achieved their mission. They still require four points to be certain of securing a top-three finish for only the fifth time since Ferguson retired in 2013. They could also finish fewer than 12 points behind the eventual champions, which is the closest they have got post-Ferguson, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2020-21. "It's one of the biggest privileges I have to play at this club," said Cunha. "The Champions League without this club is not the same competition, and this club without Champions League is not same club. "But it is not only the Champions League. We need to fight for the titles. This is the first one [step]. We could come much stronger for next season." It will be a summer of change at Old Trafford, not least because Cunha's Brazilian international team-mate Casemiro is leaving. Or is he? Casemiro has said he is and Carrick reinforced the point when he spoke to the media on Friday. But Cunha knows the 34-year-old well. He is not so sure. "It's so easy to talk about him," he said. "I know how important he is. "He's an amazing guy. There is a strong part of him outside the pitch. He's so lovely and so friendly. He teaches me. "We don't know in the end how it is with his contract. Of course, everyone hopes there's a little bit more. I know it's harder than we talked about, but, in the end, you never know." Cunha has made the impact United hoped when they paid Wolves £62.5m last summer, when he was a priority target. With such a huge personality, it was unlikely joining a club of that size would be too much for the 26-year-old. His goal against Liverpool was his ninth of the season, including some key ones for Carrick, specifically the winners at Arsenal and Chelsea. It has given Cunha time to show off his familiar surfing celebration, which reached a new level against Liverpool, when he raced away, pursued by team-mates, dived on the ground and then got up to 'surf'. "I've improved my celebration a little bit," he said. "Every time, my friends in Brazil every time say, 'you cannot only surf, you have to paddle and stand up on the surfboard'. I said OK, I'll try to improve. "It's part of my life; to bring this into football and show everyone how happy I am to play football and surf. I have to do it." When a £100m price tag was attached to Tyler Dibling as speculation raged about his future at Southampton, the youngster admitted it became a running joke among his team-mates. It was an indication, however, of just how highly rated the lavishly gifted Dibling had become in a Southampton side that was doomed to relegation long before the end of last season. When Dibling did eventually move, following links to Tottenham Hotspur and RB Leipzig among others, it was to Everton in a £40m deal that made him one of the most expensive signings in the club's history. Dibling was hailed as a generational talent who would become a central component in Everton's new era at their magnificent Hill Dickinson Stadium under manager David Moyes in his second spell at the club. Former Southampton manager Russell Martin shared that view as he said: "When I was there I had to play it down a lot and not make things more difficult for him, but he is the most talented player I've ever worked with." Instead, the 20-year-old has had a transitional season spent largely in the wilderness at Everton, starting only four Premier League games and six in total, Dibling's action totalling 513 minutes. Dibling was overlooked when Jack Grealish, whose own socks down, dribbling style drew comparisons between the pair, suffered a season-ending foot injury. And Dwight McNeil, who Everton were prepared to sell to Crystal Palace until a late hitch scuppered the deal, has since been chosen ahead of him. So what has led to the curious disappearance of Dibling and what does the future hold? Link: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cn5pz1d5432o

Captain Virgil van Dijk says Liverpool's season has been "unacceptable" after Arne Slot's side fell to an 18th defeat in all competitions when they were beaten by Manchester United. The Dutch defender has also stressed the need for "a lot of work to be done behind the scenes" to avoid a repeat of their disappointing Premier League title defence. "I'm not here to make excuses," Van Dijk said. "It's been a very disappointing season, an unacceptable season, and it's tough. We shouldn't feel sorry for ourselves whatsoever. "We have to work and turn this around and make sure that next season these things don't happen. It's not Liverpool." Liverpool may still require four points from their remaining three games to confirm Champions League qualification. The 3-2 defeat against Michael Carrick's side at Old Trafford came after a three-game winning run in the Premier League, but it was the 11th loss of Liverpool's title defence. The last reigning champions to lose more league games were Leicester (18) in 2016-17. "I think it's unacceptable that we have lost too many times as defending champions of the Premier League and we shouldn't accept it," said Van Dijk. "There will be a lot of work that has to be done going into next season. When I am back from the World Cup I will go into it, but there is a lot of work to be done behind the scenes." The 34-year-old added: "I care so much about this club. I know that it has been a tough season, but I will always be there in good and lesser good days. "But we have three games left and the realisation has to come from ourselves, as a group and as players, to make sure that we are in the Champions League because of the impact of it for the financial side for the club. But also because we want to be playing against the best teams in Europe. "It's not easy. But we keep going." Link: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c2e2xlz7d2vo

[Stiri Gaming] Dead By Daylight codes for May 2026
MrEveningtstar @ LCS a postat un topic în Știri despre Gaming
Dead By Daylight has been around for a long, long time now, which means it's chock full of stuff to buy, unlock and accrue. These Dead By Daylight codes are an excellent way to make a tiny dent in that grind and get some free stuff, particularly if you're just starting out in the murderous multiplayer horror game. Below you'll find DBD codes for some cosmetics to spruce up your characters as well as free badges and charms. DBD codes will sometimes even include Bloodpoints, the resource you use to progress your characters. I've assembled as complete a list of DBD codes as possible. Some of the ones you'll find below. Some, like the vast selection of Pride Badges lower down, don't expire and can be claimed at any time, and I've put all other cosmetics and rewards in the main section. XCOM looms over turn-based tactics, and really, PC strategy gaming in general, the same way God looms over all us pathetic mortal mayflies. The best we can do is throw ourselves to the ground in prostration and hope it comes back to save us. Sadly, that's probably not happening at this point, but there is something exciting on the way for those willing to play a game sans video—a miniatures game sporting the XCOM name, which was unveiled last week for Firaxis's 30-year anniversary. The announcement came in the form of an admittedly spartan reveal website, which has a logo and a sign-up sheet for a mailing list. It's got the logo style from XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and as far as I can tell, there is truly no public information aside from that. Will it be a fully-fledged hobby wargame like Warhammer? Something smaller-scale, cooperative, or soloable? All we can do is guess, but Modiphius’s past games may offer some indication of what’s to come. For one, the company has already done plenty of licensed videogame spinoffs, like the upcoming Doom Arena Board Game and miniatures games such as Fallout: Wasteland Warfare and Skyrim - The Adventure Game (the latter of which I didn't play per se, but I did paint up some Stormcloaks and Imperials so I could pretend they were all star-crossed lovers). I used to think that the heart of a perfect Fortnite Battle Royale loot pool was two strong shotguns: a pump-action for raw one-shot power, and an automatic shotgun for drawn out fights. Pump shotguns bark the last word in expert hands, but spammy weapons are more forgiving if, like me, your aim is mush. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 has disabused me of that notion. It's proved that more—more choice, more playstyles, more power—is simply better, so long as each individual weapon has its own quirk.
