P.T. was a short playable teaser for the cancelled project Silent Hills, directed by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. After internal conflicts, the project was cancelled and the demo was permanently removed from digital stores. Because of this, consoles that still had P.T. installed were resold online for extremely high prices.
