In Chile, the national sport is Chilean Rodeo (Rodeo Chileno)

which is not about bull riding or speed. Instead, two skilled riders called huasos work as a team to gently guide a calf into padded curved walls inside a special arena known as a medialuna. Points are awarded for precision, control, and teamwork rather than aggression. This makes Chilean rodeo one of the few traditional sports in the world where technique and coordination matter more than strength, deeply reflecting Chile’s rural heritage and cultural identity.
