TheDude @ LCS Postat Februarie 12 Postat Februarie 12 Did you know that London has an underground river system hidden beneath its streets? Beneath the busy roads and historic buildings of London flow several “lost rivers” such as the River Fleet, River Tyburn, and River Walbrook. These rivers were once open and vital for transport and daily life in Roman and medieval London, but as the city expanded, they became polluted and were gradually covered over. Today, they still flow underground through tunnels and drains, influencing city planning, engineering projects, and even the layout of some streets. SOURCE
