The Avenue of the Baobabs is a dirt road lined with ancient baobab trees, some over 800 years old. These massive trees, often called “upside-down trees,” store water in their trunks to survive Madagascar’s dry climate. At sunset, the silhouettes of the baobabs against the glowing sky create one of Africa’s most iconic and photographed landscapes.

The baobabs teach us that strength and resilience grow slowly — but last for centuries.
