The Chocolate Hills are over 1,200 perfectly conical hills spread across the island of Bohol. During the dry season, the green grass turns brown, giving them a “chocolate” appearance. Formed by ancient coral deposits uplifted and shaped by erosion, the hills create a surreal, wave-like landscape. Legends say they were created by giants who cried after losing a loved one.

The Chocolate Hills remind us that nature sometimes paints landscapes as whimsical as a storybook.
