Sierra Nevada National Park is one of Spain’s most extraordinary natural spaces, stretching across the provinces of Granada and Almería. With over 20 peaks exceeding 3,000 meters — including the famous Mulhacén and Veleta — it’s the highest mountain range in mainland Spain. The park covers an impressive variety of ecosystems: alpine tundra, pine forests, and deep valleys cut by glacial erosion. In winter, it transforms into one of Europe’s southernmost ski resorts, while in summer, it becomes a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Its breathtaking views include the Alhambra and the Mediterranean Sea, sometimes even the snowy peaks reflecting golden light at sunset.
