It allows you to orient your car for power shots, soften landings, and perform complex aerial carries. Standard vs. Directional Air Roll (DAR) You need to understand the difference before you start grinding. Standard Air Roll: Bind this to L1/LB. You hold the button and use your joystick to roll. It's best for small adjustments and efficient recoveries. Directional Air Roll (Left/Right): Bind these to specific buttons (e.g., Square/X or Circle/B). One press initiates a perfect roll. This is mandatory for Tornado Spins and constant-spin aerials because it frees up your joystick to steer while rolling.
