This guide outlines the essential settings, techniques, and drills to achieve elite car control. Essential Settings & Keybinds Before practicing, ensure your settings don't limit your potential. Most pros use a layout that allows them to boost, jump, and air roll simultaneously. Controller Settings: Aerial Sensitivity: 1.0 to 1.5 is standard; some pros go as high as 1.6 for sharper control. Controller Deadzone: Set to 0.05 to ensure inputs register instantly without stick drift. Dodge Deadzone: 0.50 – 0.70 to prevent accidental backflips when performing fast aerials. Keybind Recommendations: Boost: Bind to R1/RB to keep your thumb free for jump and air roll. Air Roll / Powerslide: Bind both to L1/LB. Since you can't air roll on the ground or powerslide in the air, they don't conflict and simplify recoveries. Directional Air Roll (DAR): Bind Air Roll Left or Right to a face button (like Square/X) to unlock 3D movement and Tornado Spins.
