When you turn on your computer, you see the Desktop.
It is your main workspace where:

Icons represent apps, files, or folders

Taskbar (bottom of the screen) shows open apps and system tools

Recycle Bin stores deleted files temporarily

👉 Tip: You can right-click on the desktop to refresh, create folders, or change display settings.

🔹 2. Using the Start Menu

Click the Start button (Windows logo) on the bottom-left corner or press the Windows key on your keyboard.

From here, you can:

Open applications

Search for files or settings

Shut down or restart your PC

👉 Type directly after opening Start to quickly find apps like Settings, Chrome, or File Explorer.

🔹 3. File Explorer (Managing Files)

Open File Explorer by:

Pressing Windows + E

Clicking the folder icon on the taskbar

You can:

Create folders (Right-click → New → Folder)

Move files using drag & drop

Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V)

Important folders:

Documents – files

Downloads – downloaded items

Pictures / Videos / Music

🔹 4. Opening & Managing Apps

Double-click an app icon to open it

Use Alt + Tab to switch between open apps

Click X to close a window

Minimize or maximize using the top-right buttons
