Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat, covering more than 10,000 square kilometers. During the dry season, it forms an endless white desert that resembles a frozen lake. After rainfall, it transforms into a perfect mirror — reflecting the sky so clearly that the horizon disappears. The salt flat also holds important lithium reserves and contains vibrant pink lagoons filled with flamingos.
