respins Proposal: Adding a Live Football Matches Section

The World Cup is currently taking place and attracts the attention of millions of fans worldwide. By integrating a dedicated section for live football match streaming on LeagueCS.ro, the forum would not only enhance the community experience but also attract a massive number of new visitors

Objective

• Create a centralized space where members and visitors can watch live matches.
• Significantly increase forum traffic thanks to the global event.
• Diversify the site’s content by combining both the gaming world and the most popular sport in the world.

Proposed Features

• Dedicated Live Page: embedded video player to watch matches in real time.
• Interactive Schedule: display upcoming matches, live scores, and standings.
• Live Chat / Dedicated Forum: discussion space to comment on matches in real time.
• Clips & Highlights: possibility to rewatch goals or key moments.
• Social Media Integration: easy sharing of highlights on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

Adding a live football matches section during the World Cup would greatly increase community engagement, attract millions of visitors, and position LeagueCS.ro as both a gaming and sports hub; I am making this proposal now so that we have more than six months to reflect and prepare it.

Personally, I don't think we will be successful with this project.

It's The World Cup, i think it will be watched all over the world at home, not on a cs 1.6 forum.

Plus, I know of many very popular sites that already offer these services for example, sofascore.. i think is the biggest site.

And, I'm not sure but I think that at least at the World Cup, FIFA blocks all other external sources that try to broadcast the matches live.

Just look at TikTok, they block and ban people for simple TV shows because they try to live stream the show.

I'm between PRO and CONTRA because I like the idea but I don't think we're made for something like this.

 Even though the idea sounds attractive, it’s not realistic. Broadcasting World Cup matches would lead to copyright violations, since TV channels and streaming platforms pay huge fees for those rights. This could expose the forum to serious legal risks or even shutdown. On top of that, a live streaming plugin would consume massive server resources, which would harm performance. The risks clearly outweigh the benefits.

Thank you all for your feedback on my idea for the 2026 World Cup live project. I'm taking the time to respond collectively because your comments are important and deserve full attention.

I understand the concerns raised — especially regarding technical feasibility, copyright risks, and whether this kind of project really fits our forum. It’s true that the goal was never to compete with major platforms like SofaScore or to illegally stream matches. The intention is to create an interactive space where fans can follow scores, comment on the action in real time, and experience the event together — all within a legal and respectful framework.

As for server resources, I’m of course aware of our technical limits and I’m totally open to adjusting the project based on what’s realistically possible without affecting the forum’s performance.

I also want to thank those who showed support. I’m not claiming to have the perfect solution, but I believe that by sharing ideas and discussing openly, we can help the community grow in a positive way.

Ultimately, the final decision is up to the administration (@Fondator), and I will fully respect whatever choice is made. My only goal is to bring something positive and innovative to the table.

To implement that kind of stuff it requires a lot of knowledge , approvals from those who will gain video rights to transmit , etc .
