The Mulhacén, standing at 3,479 meters, is the highest peak on the Iberian Peninsula. Located in the Sierra Nevada range of Andalusia, it owes its name to the 15th-century Nasrid king Muley Hacén, who, according to legend, is buried on its slopes. The ascent is not technically difficult, but it is long and demanding, offering climbers the chance to experience a wide variety of landscapes: from fertile valleys and alpine meadows to rocky highlands and snow-capped ridges. On clear days, hikers are rewarded with a view that stretches all the way across the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

Reaching the top of Mulhacén is more than a hike — it’s a journey through history, legend, and breathtaking horizons.
