After England tasted defeat in their UEFA Women's Euro opener against France, defender and captain Leah Williamson said that The Lionesses "hold ourselves to higher standards" after a difficult 90 minutes. Williamson put England's defeat down to poor defending and not being good enough with the ball. "We got better and took advantage of that, but not enough in the end," she said.
