[CS2] Aurora ends winless playoff streak over The MongolZ

The Turkish team have gone out in their first playoff match five
events in a row but have progressed against a team with similar issues.

Aurora have ended a streak of five first-round playoff defeats in a row by overcoming The MongolZ
 in PGL Astana's first quarter-final.

The 2-0 win means revenge for Aurora against the team that defeated them in IEM Katowice's arena,
 in the first of those five first-match exits.

If you include BLAST Bounty's grand final, it was six matches without a win in the playoffs — a fact Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker was more than aware of. "We made it," the AWPer beamed on stage post-game with James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks. "We broke the curse."

Both teams have been labelled as playoff chokers since that bout, making the matchup an intriguing one to open the Barys Arena even before you add in their rare status as their respective country's hegemons.

Ali "⁠Wicadia⁠" Haydar Yalçın (122 ADR on Mirage) and woxic (30-16 on Anubis),
however, combined to remove most of that intrigue with domineering performances.

"I think this is like our seventh playoff, so I hope we can do it this time," woxic told HLTV pre-game. "I don't want to jinx it."

And that, he certainly did not, as the 26-year-old sniper made Anubis his playground with 31 frags to close it out.
