The next installment will serve as a direct follow-up to the original, which launched in early access on Steam in 2019 and fully across all platforms in 2022, becoming an instant hit with gamers after its release on console systems. While developer 1047 Games supported the original for some time, it ultimately decided to shift focus and resources toward developing Splitgate 2.
