The national telecom provider Tusass partnered with Ericsson to deploy 5G infrastructure starting in towns such as Sisimiut, Maniitsoq, and Narsaq. Because Greenland has a very small and widely dispersed population, mobile connectivity is often the main way people access the internet. The rollout of 5G and advanced wireless networks is expected to improve high-speed internet access, enable smart services, and help connect remote communities that are separated by mountains, ice, and vast distances.
