Performance: It was a sleeper hit, taking 22 weeks to climb from its initial entry to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her very first number-one single. It was also one of the first songs to pass 7 million digital downloads sold in the US, earning a Digital Diamond certification.
