[Hardware] Lian Li expands its range of power supplies with up to 1200W and Platinum certification

One of the most important components of any PC, if not the most important, is the power supply. It's responsible for providing power to all the PC's components and protecting them from power surges.

Due to its importance for the proper functioning and integrity of PC components, when buying a power supply, you shouldn't just buy any model you see at a good price. It's advisable to pay a little more to ensure it won't cause problems for your system and that all components will be properly protected.

If you're looking for a new power supply for your PC, Lian Li has just announced a new series of power supplies with 80 PLUS Platinum certification, the highest available on the market, boasting an efficiency of up to 92%.

New Lian Li Power Supplies
The new Lian Li Platinum-certified SX series is designed for high-performance systems, is compatible with future hardware upgrades, and features comprehensive protections.

Designed for high-performance systems, these power supplies offer a minimum wattage of 850W and go up to 1200W, with a 1000W option available.

As expected, they support ATX 3.1 and feature a native 12V-2x6 connector capable of delivering up to 600W to meet the needs of the NVIDIA RTX 5090, the leading consumer graphics card on the market.

It features a 120mm FDB fan with Zero RPM mode, configurable from the rear panel. This allows you to keep the fan running continuously or only activate it when the temperature rises during heavy workloads.

Inside, it houses 100% Japanese capacitors rated at 105°C, ensuring greater reliability and accurate voltage regulation. It also includes a single high-current +12V rail that provides uninterrupted power to both the CPU and GPU.

As a high-end power supply, it boasts comprehensive protections such as OPP, OVP, SCP, OCP, OTP, UVP, SIP, and NLP to guarantee the optimal operation of all components under any conditions. It features braided and flexible cables for easy installation within any PC. This new series of power supplies comes with a 10-year warranty.

 

Price and Availability
Lian Li's new SX series power supplies are available in white and black. Initially, only the black version will be available (the white version will arrive later). They are already available on the market, although they won't reach major retailers until the end of November, so we don't yet know the recommended retail prices. We expect to learn this information in the coming weeks.
