Google will invest an additional £5 billion in the UK over the next two years, focusing on expanding its data centre infrastructure, AI research and engineering, with the involvement of DeepMind and the aim of creating thousands of AI jobs,

targeted projects include Google’s first data centre in Waltham Cross and renewable energy collaborations to reduce its carbon footprint, with the target of operating on around 95% green energy by 2026.
