Hackers are engaged in a sophisticated scam that turns Google Classroom, the tool for teacher support, into a formidable digital trap. More than 115,000 fake messages targeted 13,500 global companies in one week.

Cybersecurity researchers at Check Point announce that they have identified a world-class phishing operation that hijacks Google Classroom, the educational platform of the Google Workspace suite. Between August 6 and August 12, 2025, cybercriminals orchestrated five waves of coordinated attacks, which were based on users' trust in Google services. This is a sophisticated campaign that reveals how hackers are turning legitimate tools into attack vectors to infiltrate corporate systems.
