[Tutorial] How to record a demo

For those who don't know how to record a demo yet, they can learn it here. I’ll also include pictures for every step.

 

Open the console and type: record "name"

After that, it will say: recording to "name".dem

Once the recording is done, type in the console: stop

This will be saved in the Half-Life\cstrike folder. 

To watch it again, type in the console : viewdemo

Here you can select which one you want to watch again.

After you find the part you need, record it with something. If you don’t have such a program installed, download something like OBS. It’s free and easy to use.

 

It’s also important to know that when you join the map, the recording starts automatically, so it records everything that happens on the map. If you don’t rename or save it separately, it will be deleted on the next map. In this case, after you type 'stop', you can disconnect from the server. Open the cstrike folder and find the most recently recorded .dem file. If you rename it, it won’t be deleted anymore
